How to write a Letter to the Editor A letter commenting a current issue in a news paper or a magazine

Before you start writing Define the issue you want to write about Find facts about the issue, using different sources like the web, books, making interviews with people involved, to get them to make statements.

How to write a letter to the editor 50-150 words Start the letter with Dear Sir or Madam, or Dear Editor Present yourself and give a background to the issue that you want to comment Write a new paragraph where you state what you think (ought to be changed) and give one - three reasons and facts to substantiate this. Summarize in paragraph with the benefits with your change/idea End with your name, city and province. Proofread. Tip: Use a neutral style in your letter, don’t be rude and show respect for the opposite opinion.
