Chapter I
APPRENTICES
Apprentices
Apprentices are individuals who enter into a formal training
agreementwith an employer to gain practical experiencein
a skilled trade or occupation. Apprenticeships involve both
classroom instruction and hands-on trainingunder the
supervision of experienced workers.
Learners
These are individuals undergoing practical
trainingin industries where they lack prior
experience. They are typically enrolled in
structured learning programsto acquire
specific skills before full employment.
Handicapped Workers
These are workers with physical, mental, or
sensory disabilitieswho are provided with special
employment opportunities, workplace
accommodations, or vocational trainingto ensure
equal participation in the workforce.
