How a hydraulic excavator works?

2. What is hydraulics: Hydraulics is derived from the Greek word i.e. Hydro-water Aulos -pipe In simple language hydraulics is known as liquids under pressure.

3. Principle of hydraulics: Hydraulics mainly works in the. basis of “ Pascal's Law ”.

4. What is Pascal's Law: It states that “Pressure exerted anywhere in a confined fluid is transmitted equally in all direction throughout . Force applied at one point is transmitted to another point by using an income- pressible fluid.

5. What is hydraulic Excavator : A  hydraulic excavator (digger) is a large vehicle that is designed for excavation and demolition purposes. Hydraulic excavators consist of a chassis, boom, and bucket, and move via tracks or wheels. They range in size and function, an example of which is the similar but smaller “mini-excavator.

6. Hydraulics excavator : Excavators are very popular machines used in construction and other civil engineering like digging trenches, holes, trenches. They are mainly used in two types: 1. Crawler Excavator 2. Wheel Excavator

7. Types: 1.Crawler Excavator: Crawler excavator runs on two endless track(chain wheel system). These types of excavators are used in hilly areas as well as in muddy areas where risks of sliding of machinery are on the verge. 2.Wheel Excavator: Wheel excavators runs on wheels and are used for excavation and loading of dump trucks and most of the time it is only used for plain ground operation.

9. Features of hydraulic excavators: 1.It provides digging power. 2.It has hydraulic boom ,bucket ,arm and as well as cab system in the base. 3. The rotating platform allows the arm and bucket to lift off soil (or any other excavated debris) away from the excavation point . 4. Most excavators use hydraulics because they optimize power output using fewer resources. The boom section resembles and functions in the same way a human arm does. The bucket basically holds soil and rocks during lifting .
