Optic perineuritis Optic perineuritis also known as perioptic neuritis, is a rare idiopathic orbital inflammatory disease, in which the specific target tissue is the optic nerve sheath Optic perineuritis usually presents with pain, swollen optic disc, and arcuate and paracentral visual field defects .
