If all of the world’s cultural heritage were to be contained in a time capsule, what
would you include to demonstrate the legacy of your country?

3. Let's talk about Mexico’s heritage
Mexico has a rich and complex legacy, is a country of immense diversity,
history and culture. In my opinion the essential elements representing
Mexico's legacy can be grouped into three categories:
1.-History
2.-Culinary
3.-Art

History
Within the region of Mesoamerica, Mexico's cultural legacy is
built from at least seven major pre-Hispanic civilizations.
Their eras of influence stretch across more than three
thousand years, from the time of the Maya(2000 BC) and the
Olmec(1500 BC), culminating in the AztecEmpirejust before
the Spanish Conquest (1345 AD –1521 AD).
Thefirst item that I will consider forthetimecapsulewill be
the Aztec Sun Stone:A powerfulsymbol of indigenous
cosmology, astronomical knowledge, and the concept of time.

the ultimate expression of our nation's history, showcasing the
powerful and beautiful fusion of indigenous cultures and
Spanish influence.
The second item that I will consider forthetimecapsulewill
be a recipe card for Mole:Mole represents the complex,
ancient, and diverse culinary history (blending ingredients like
chilies, spices, and chocolate).

6. Art
Mexico is fueled by dreams, giving rise to an imagination that
is both profound and powerfully surreal. This duality is the very
engine of our culture. It finds its expression in our arts and
traditions, from the spiritual beauty of Día de Muertos to the
revolutionary force of the Muralist Movement.
My last item that I will consider forthetimecapsulewill be the
Alebrije: It showcases the Mexican capacity to transform a
personal vision into a nationally recognized art form. It is
literally a "dream sculpted into reality.

7. Conclusion
I began this presentation by asking: How do we encapsulate the soul of
Mexico?The answer lies in the dialogue between our past, our imagination,
and our living culture.
The items that I chose are not merely three relics, they are three creations
that capture the nation's essence:
• The Aztec Sun Stone: This represents Time and Cosmic Knowledge.
• The Mole Recipe: This represents Fusion and diversity.
• The Alebrije: This represents Dreams and Imagination.
These three items: Knowledge, Diversity, and Imagination form the
perfect trio to demonstrate the Mexican legacy for the future.
