4. About my commitment to sustainability
How it started: Two pivotal moments
IE University
Earth song, 2019
Charity single, featuring 26 famous artists from
different genres to raise awareness around saving
the earth and encouraging people to take action
Seeing artists from different backgrounds come
together to advocate for a common cause was
inspiring. It showed me that no matter who you
are or where you come from, we all share a
responsibility to take care of the Earth.
EarthX conference, April 2020
EarthX is an annual environmental
exposition that brings together
environmental advocates, innovators,
and educators to address environmental
challenges and promote sustainability.
EarthX2020 was held virtually due to the
COVID-19 pandemic and my high school
offered us the opportunity to attend
some of the events.
This was a turning point for me in my
journey towards sustainability.
Hearing the voices of so many
individuals dedicated to protecting the
environment opened my eyes to the
depth of the challenges we face.

5. Why is sustainability important to me?
IE University
I believe in the power of individual action to contribute positively to the world.
To me it is about more than just preserving our ecosystem; it's a commitment to
something greater than myself.
By integrating sustainable practices into my daily life, I aim to improve my
personal health and well-being as well as that of those around me.
I am convinced that, regardless of who we are, where we live, and what we do, we
have a moral obligation, not only to each other but also future generations. Our
present choices and actions have huge long-term impacts on future generations.
I believe that if we exhaust the Earth's resources without consideration for the
consequences, we deprive future generations of their ability to thrive.
I know that the decisions I make today impact the world that my children and
grandchildren will inherit tomorrow.

6. “Meeting the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future
generations to meet their own needs”
I believe that being sustainable does not equate to living a life of renunciation. In
fact, sustainability may offer a pathway to a more fulfilling and abundant life.

In my opinion, sustainable living is key to fostering resilience and security in the face of
environmental challenges. By diversifying our energy sources, conserving water, and
preserving ecosystems, we can better adapt to the challenges ahead.
While there may be initial investments involved in adopting sustainable practices, they can
result in long-term cost savings.

Involvement
We organized events and debates on
sustainability in finance, law, and business.
Community Clean-Up Initiatives
I have participated in neighborhood street cleaning
sessions and in bottle cap collection for a local
Church.
Personal Sustainable Habits
I try to practice recycling, reducing water waste,
and other small actions in my daily life.
Continuous Learning and Engagement
I try to stay informed about sustainability issues
through research and participation in events.

I envision myself working
for a company that
prioritizes environmental
responsibility and taking
part in sustainability
projects.
I'm dedicated to continuing
and expanding my
involvement in volunteering
initiatives related to
sustainability.
I also aspire to organize
fundraisers aimed at
supporting environmental
causes and initiatives.
Spreading awareness

I would like to spread the
word about environmental
issues and solutions within
my future company and
beyond, utilizing various
communication channels,
including social media.
I'm enthusiastic about the
prospect of actively participating
in organizing and contributing to
events and initiatives focused on
environmental awareness,
conservation, and sustainable
practices in my future university.
I would also love to be a part of
a student association where I
can engage in discussions, share
ideas, and collaborate with other
students who share my passion.
