Structure of a Letter Greeting (Dear Sir/Madam or Dear John) Paragraph 1 – Introduction & purpose Paragraph 2 & 3 – Expand bullet points with details Sign-off (Yours sincerely, Best regards, etc.)

Practice Task 1 – Informal Letter Your friend is coming to your city for a visit. Write a letter inviting them and suggesting some places to visit. Include: where they can stay, what to do, and how to reach you
Speaking Part 1 – Introduction Answer simple personal questions. Topics: work, studies, home, daily routine, etc. Answer with 2–3 sentences to sound natural.
Sample Part 1 Questions What do you do? Do you enjoy your work/study? Why? Where do you live? What do you like about it?
Speaking Part 2 – Cue Card (Long Turn) You’ll speak for 1–2 minutes on a topic. 1 minute to prepare. Use the bullet points to guide you. Tell a short story or detailed description.
Practice Cue Card Describe a time you helped someone. Who the person was How you helped them Why you helped and how you felt
Speaking Part 3 – Discussion Follow-up questions related to Part 2 topic. Requires more explanation and opinions. Practice giving reasons and examples.
Tips for Writing and Speaking Plan before writing or speaking. Use linking words (however, although, for example, etc.) Practice with a timer to improve speed and fluency.
