Synonyms Dirghachada   (long stem) Madhutruna       (sweet grass) Gudadaaru   (originates jaggery) Bhurirasa   (filled with juicie )

Habitat & Habit (Home , shape) The sugarcane plant is tall, perennial grass. It's  2-6 m tall with fibrous jointed noded stalks. The plant is native to warm temperate and tropical regions of Southeast Asia, India etc.

Morphology Sugarcane is a perennial grass, it grows upto 10 –24 ft. Flower : The inflorescence is called "ARROW". Its long and tapering with racemose arrangment The leaves are "SWORD SHAPE" as they are tubular and blade like, thick in center rather than margin.
