Session 1 – Implementation and monitoring of the virtual apprenticeship
Templates of plans and logbooks used in the monitoring of online apprenticeships
7
•At the start of the apprenticeship, the hosting company/organisation should open a record/dossier of the
apprentice, which can be then updated during the apprenticeship
•At the start, the hosting company/organisation and the apprentice should develop an apprenticeship plan, which
should contain the following information:
Names and contact details of the apprentice, company/organisation and mentor;
Duration of apprenticeship;
Main objective of apprenticeship and plan of activities.
•During the apprenticeship, the apprentice should complete a logbook on a regular basis (e.g. weekly or monthly) to
report on the following:
progress on completion of assigned tasks;
problems and issues faced during work;
solutions/measures taken to address them.
•At the end of the apprenticeship, an assessment/evaluation form should be completed by the mentor/supervisor to
evaluate the overall performance of the apprentice.

European Alliance of Apprenticeships (4)
•Types of support and services offered by EAfA
EAfA has facilitated networking, cooperation and sharing of good practices, with Cedefop and
the European Training Foundation (ETF) providing strategic expert support;
EAfA developed a large number of training and educational material contributing to increase
stakeholder knowledge of apprenticeships and raise awareness of the benefits of apprenticeships;
Apprenticeship Support Services – aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of
apprenticeships across the EU and providing tailored support to stakeholders involved in
delivering apprenticeships;
EAfA members have access to a wide variety of resources about apprenticeships, such as a
library of resources with a dynamic and searchable catalogue of quality-checked tools, knowledge
and information and EAfA Activities Hub with a database of all activities and material developed,
such as EAfA webinars and live discussions, factsheets and toolkits, training material, podcasts,
etc.;
Networking through organisation of regular events, such as stakeholder meetings or learning
