Difference between Piaget and Vygotski Piaget Vygotski 1. Knowledge is constructed by reflecting on and coordinating one's own knowledge. Example: A girl on hospital bed. 1. Social interaction, cultural tools are the main instruments for shaping individual development. Example: A girl with the jigsaw puzzele . 2. He thinks because of cognitive development language development occurs. 2. He thinks because of Language development cognitive development occurs. 3. Child will acquire knowledge from their elder ones only or under their guidance. Age factor matters a lot. 3. He will acquire the knowledge from anyone, only the person should have full knowledge of content. Age of person doesn't matter.(MKO)
