5. Fayol's Principles of Management or Administration 1. Division of work Specialization for all kinds of work to develop expertise. Tasks should be divided up. Eg . Department of Nursing, Department of Pharmacy etc. 2. Authority, responsibility and accountability. 3. Discipline: Proper observance of the rules, regulations, norms, decorum, manners, code of ethics and respects.

Subordination of individual interests to general interest Narrow selfish interest should overcome or turn to common and broad interest of the organization for its welfare. Eg . Collective bargaining (More salary, More production )

Centralization Some amount of greater and larger authority resting with top level managers. 9. Scalar Chain of command There is a link of directional instructions from the top level to the lowest rank of organizational members in the hierarchy. 10. Order Proper systematic arrangement of everything (Staffs and materials) 11. Equity Fair and impartial treatment to all workers irrespective of their jobs.
