DEFINITE ARTICLE
The definite article The is used to refer to specific or particular
nouns. The definite article is used before singular and plural
nouns. When the noun is specific or particular. The signals
that the noun is definite, that it refers to a particular member
of a group.
Example:
The dog, the oranges, the chairs, the man, etc.

EXCEPTIONS
> Sometimes, "u" has a "y" sound. It sounds like (iu) such as "you"
so it has a consonant sound. Say the (tha) in this case:
Examples: The university, unicorn, unit, etc.....
> The letter “H” is a consonant but, in pronunciation, the words
“hour” and “honest” start with a vowel sounds because the
Hs are not pronounced. So, say the (thi) in this case:
Examples: The (thi) hour (aur)

PRONUNCIATION OF THE
> THE has two different pronunciations:
Say (tha) when the noun starts with a consonant sound.
Say (thi) when the noun starts with a vowel sound.
> It depends on the sound that makes the first letter
of the word.
