Indian Run Restoration Project Capital Facilities/Utilities Design and Construction Division/Transportation & Stormwater Construction Branch The purpose of this project is to restore sections of Indian Run, stabilize outfalls, and install low impact development (LID) facilities along Indian Run Parkway between Edsall Road and Bren Mar Drive. The project provides water quality enhancement as well as prolonged channel protection. The project was substantially completed within budget on September 26, 2014. Project Overview: Channel improvement and stream bank stabilization. Installation of various in-stream structures to include: plunge pools, riffle grade control, imbricated stone wall, rock vane. Installation of eight (8) low impact development (LID) facilities through out the project corridor. Installation of various storm drainage structures and outfall protection. Planting of native vegetation to promote the natural reforestation of the project site. Water quality benefits obtained include removal of 1.34 lbs./yr. total phosphorus, 11.18 lbs./yr. total nitrogen, and 263 lbs./yr. total suspended solids .
