It covers an area of 110 sq. Km, having over 40 Km of tunnels running some 730 meters with a reserve size of 6.2 billion tons . Pakistan enjoys its sea salt reserve along 1050 Km long coastline with favourable conditions of having low rainfall.

GoB , considering huge & continuing balance of payment crisis is likely to provide additional incentives, as the Project can be huge forex earner. Transformation of the site to industrial chemical complex by establishing Soda Ash, Caustic soda, Chlorine, PVC, Bromine and Magnesium manufacturing plants .
