3. GET STARTED: Landscapes
Look at the three pictures.
•What can you see in each one?
•Which place would you most like to visit? Why?
•Are there similar places near you?
•All three pictures are from the same country. Where do you think it is? Why?

4. DISCUSS Choose your destination
1 Read the text on the worksheet. Then discuss these questions to help
think of ideas for your entry.
•What different kinds of landscapes are in your country? Make a list of places that
are very interesting and/or beautiful.
•Which place in your country are famous? Why are they famous?
•Which places are the most popular with visitors? Are there any special places that
most tourists don’t know about? Where are they? Why are they special?
•What’s the weather like in different seasons? When is the best time of year to visit?

5. PREPARE Plan the campaign
•Choose three places which you think tourists would like. What are they like? What can you
do there?
•Write your reasons for choosing each place.
•Think of at least one slogan for the tourism campaign.
•Write a description of the three photos you want to include with your entry. Go online to find
some examples if you want.
Work with a partner and prepare an entry for your country.

6. PRESENT Share your campaigns
1 Present your entry to the class.
2 Listen to the other presentations, and decide which places you want to go to and
why. Make a note of at leasttwo things you like about each campaign.
3 Which campaign had the best slogan? Why?
