8. Summary of Projected Benefits
•JCSD will have access to water sources previously
unavailable due to lack of transportation infrastructure.
•Water supply volume options and cost control
flexibility may result in significant cost savings.
•IVP proposes “Favored Nation” status for the useful life
of the infrastructure to JCSD for participating in the
water transportation infrastructure.
•Contractual structure proposed by IVP is consistent
with the existing Desalter JPA agreements.
•
Now for the first time, JCSD will receive water from the Northeast Basin and have control of a major portion (30%) of it’s water needs.
