This power point presentation is made on the topic input devices for my practicum of pedagogy of computer science .

2. WHAT ARE INPUT DEVICES ? Input devices are devices responsible for sending instructions, data and command to the computer system and allows the user to control it . This device enable interaction between the user and the computer .

4. KEYBOARD A  computer keyboard  is an input device used to enter characters and functions into the computer system by pressing buttons, or  keys . It is the primary device used to enter text. A keyboard typically contains keys for individual letters, numbers and special characters, as well as keys for specific functions. A keyboard is connected to a computer system using a cable or a wireless connection.

5. MOUSE A  mouse  is  a hand-held pointing device that controls the movement of the cursor on the computer screen and allows users to move and select folders, text, files, and icons on a computer.

6. JOYSTICK A joystick is a hand-held input device that controls the movement of a digital object on a computer screen or gaming console. It's typically made up of a lever or handle that can be pushed or tilted in different directions.

7. SCANNER Scanner is an input device that uses a light beam to scan codes, text, or graphic images directly into a computer or computer system . It captures documents such as photographs and text. There are basically three types of scanners: a) Drum Scanner b) Flatbed Scanner c) Handheld Scanner

8. BARCODE READER A barcode reader is an optical  hand-held   input device that is used to read the information from the barcode pasted on the product and decode the information in a human-readable format. It is also used to upload the details of the product in the database.

10. The Importance of Input Devices Essential for User Interaction : Input devices are the primary means for users to communicate with computers and digital systems. Variety of Uses : Daily Tasks, Creative Work, Gaming Technology Adaptation : Input devices have evolved alongside technology, integrating with modern systems such as voice recognition and touchscreens .
