Interface management Organisation 22 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Some tips about the IMMP IMP should be provided within base line project docs such as PEP, PMP … Interface management requirements shall be sufficiently defined in project contracts. IMP shall be prepared in early stage of the project detail engineering (a draft is good to be provided during FEED) 23 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Schedule Integration 27 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Schedule Contents Project Integrated Schedule Should include: High Risk Milestones External Interface Milestones The Critical Path based on interface Milestones Contractors Schedules Should include: External and internal interface milestones Critical path considering the high risk external interfaces 28 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Integrated Schedule Solution A common Interface Management solution High Risk Interface Points The Interface Breakdown Structure (IBS) Integrate IBS into P6 Interdependency between interface points / agreement and other project activities Tracking Interface Progress (All Stakeholders) 29 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Integrating interface schedule Integrated Schedule Impacts Project Integrated Schedule Reports 30 These reports should be provided by project planning team to be reviewed in project interface meeting Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Conclusions Modular Prefabrication is a proven alternative methodology to traditional construction method, delivered to the site complete with expected standards to suit the project’s requirements. Modules can be fully fitted out, including prefabricated structure, installed equipment, mechanical services, piping, electrical, instrumentation with all wiring, lighting, safety and control system 36 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Conclusions EPC Projects, Modular Packaging and multi national collaboration is a NEED for Large Scale Projects. Depending on the projects nature each EPC project could be implemented in different place by a qualified proven skilled project team under an integrated project management system. Several EPC projects put a large scale project in jeopardy of mismatching and conflicts in result. Any Large scale Project needs a proper interface management Team 37 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore

Conclusions All parties should be engaged in the interface management Master Interface Plan is a Tool to mitigate the Risks Proper Communication is a must for Risk mitigation An integrated Master schedule is an abstract What has to deliver When? 38 Pre-Fabrication & Modular Construction ASIA Summit 2014 21-24 J a n Furama Riverfront, Singapore
