2. International Carrot Day is a celebration of one of the world’s most popular and nutritious vegetables. Observed annually on April 4 th , this day is dedicated to promoting the consumption and enjoyment of carrots around the world. INTRODUCTION

3. International Carrot Day is an annual event that celebrates the carrot and its many uses. It is celebrated on April 4 th every year and is a great opportunity to learn more about this versatile vegetable. INTERNATIONAL CARROT DAY

4. International Carrot Day was created in 2003 by the World Carrot Museum, a website dedicated to the history and culture of the carrot. The museum was founded by John Stolarczyk , a British farmer who was passionate about the vegetable. HISTORY The day is increasingly popular and April 4 th 2012 carrot celebration was reported from France, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Australia, UK and Japan.

5. CARROT MUSEUM It’s considered one of the smallest museums in Belgium and is housed in a former electrical substation from 1911 . The museum is unusual and quirky, and some say it’s the smallest carrot museum in the world. http://www.carrotmuseum.co.uk/

6. CARROT FESTIVAL The Carrot Museum Road Show has had exhibitions at the Royal Horticultural Society, Harlow Carr Gardens for the past few years, also at the Yorkshire Show Ground. Several countries have an annual event to celebrate the glorious carrot, usually in a growing region. In addition there is an organisation which celebrates International Carrot Day every year on 4 April
