WHAT IS SCIENTIFIC MOBILITY? • Scientific mobility refers to the movement of scientists, researchers, and scholars across geographic regions or institutions for the purpose of conducting scientific research, collaborating with colleagues, attending conferences or workshops, and acquiring new skills or knowledge. • It involves both domestic and international mobility, encompassing both short-term visits and long-term stays.

3. OBJECTIVES Advancement of scientific knowledge and fostering innovation. Exchange of ideas, promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration, and transfer of expertise and technology.  Enhancement of research productivity  Expansion of scientific networks and development of research methods and approaches.

9. RESEARCH FELLOW SCHEMES IN INDIA Funded by either a government agency or a private one. OBJECTIVES For nurturing talent, promoting research excellence, and encouraging international collaboration. Shaping India's academic and scientific landscape by supporting scholars, researchers, and innovators in their pursuit of knowledge and discovery.

10. SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS BY ICAR Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST - 240 numbers per year Eligibility : For SC/ST Undergraduate degree program students studying in Agricultural Universities (State Agricultural Universities, Allahabad Agricultural Institute Deemed University, Central Agricultural University, Central Universities having Agriculture faculty and ICAR Institute based Deemed to be Universities). Amount : INR 300/-  per month + INR 750/- annual grant for the duration of the program.

11. Merit cum Means (MCM) Scholarships Eligibility : For Undergraduate degree program students having Parents’ Annual Income below Rs. 1 Lakh and studying in Agricultural Universities. Amount : INR 500/- per month for the duration of the programme.

12. NATIONAL TALENT SCHOLARSHIPS (NTS) Eligibility : For both Undergraduate and Post-graduate degree program students studying in Agricultural Universities not located in the domicile State of the student and selected through ICAR. Selection is based on All India Entrance Examination for admission to UG and PG programs and award of NTS in agriculture and allied subjects.   Amount: INR 1000/- per month for the duration of the program in UG and INR 5 000/- per month in PG.

13. INTERNSHIP GRANTS FOR VETERINARY STUDENTS Eligibility : For B.V.Sc & AH and equivalent degree program students studying in Agricultural Universities.  Amount : INR 400/- per month for 6 months + travel grant of INR 200/- for the duration of internship.

14. ICAR Junior Research Fellowship  Eligibility : For Masters' students studying in Agricultural Universities based on ranks (475 students) Amount : INR 12640/- per month + Contingency grant of INR 6000/- per year.

16. ICAR POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP (PDF) Eligibility : For Post-Doc students studying in Agricultural Universities other than his/her own ICAR-DU. Amount : INR 75000/-  per month and a research grant of INR 2,00,000 for a period of 1 year Number of fellowships are 10 per year  for ICAR-IARI Pusa, New Delhi and 5 each per year  for ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar , ICAR-NDRI, Karnal and ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai respectively.
