Fashion History & Theory Learning Outcome: Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of fashion through various historical periods, recognizing key movements, designers, and their impact on contemporary fashion. They will also develop the ability to analyze fashion trends in cultural and social contexts.
Pattern Drafting and Garment Construction I Learning Outcome: Students will learn the basics of pattern drafting, including the tools and techniques used to create accurate garment patterns. They will also acquire hands-on skills in garment construction, applying pattern drafting to real-world garment creation.
Fundamentals of Visual Art Learning Outcome: Students will explore the foundational principles of visual art, including composition, color theory, line, shape, and texture. They will develop the ability to apply these principles in fashion design and creative processes.
Digital Art Learning Outcome: Students will develop proficiency in digital tools and techniques used for creating artwork, including digital illustration and design software. Attendance Percentage Attendance Policy: A minimum of 75% attendance is required for all Subjects. If a student is absent for 3 consecutive days or more, a medical certificate must be provided to justify the absence

Store visits are an integral part of outdoor learning in the fashion curriculum. These visits allow students to explore the retail side of the fashion industry by visiting fashion boutiques, fabric stores, and accessory shops. During these visits, students will: Observe current fashion trends, customer preferences, and retail display techniques. Understand pricing, sourcing, and merchandising strategies. Gain insights into the selection of fabrics, accessories, and fashion products. Interact with store managers and staff to learn about sales, inventory management, and customer service. These outdoor visits provide students with a real-world understanding of how fashion operates in the retail environment, helping them connect their classroom knowledge with industry practices.
