2. What is clinical psychology? Clinical Psychology is a complex field  that parallels the complexity of human behavior and emotion. Clinical psychology focuses on the assessment, treatment, and understanding of psychological and behavioral problems and disorders. In fact, clinical psychology focuses its efforts on the ways in which the human psyche interacts with physical, emotional, and social aspects of health and dysfunction. 

3. What is clinical psychology? According to the APA, clinical psychology attempts to use the principles of psychology to better understand, predict, and alleviate “intellectual, emotional, biological, and psychological, social, and behavioral aspects of human functioning” (APA, 2000b). Clinical psychology is “the aspect of psychological sciences and practice concerned with analysis, treatment, and prevention of human psychological disabilities and with the enhancing of personal adjustments and effectiveness” ( Rodnick , 1985, p. 1929).

4. What is clinical psychology? Clinical Psychology focuses on the intellectual, emotional, biological, psychological, social, and behavioral aspects of human functioning across the life span, in varying cultures, and at all socioeconomic levels. 

5. WHO IS A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST? Here in the Philippines, "Psychologist" means a natural person who is duly registered and holds a valid certificate of registration and a valid professional identification card as professional psychologists, issued by the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology and the Professional Regulation Commission for the purpose of delivering various psychological services defined in the Republic Act 10029 or the “Philippine Psychology Act of 2009”. 

6. How to become a Psychologist? (1) must be a Filipino citizen, a permanent resident or a citizen of a foreign state/country which extends reciprocity to the Philippines relative to the practice of the profession;  (2) holds at least a master’s degree in psychology conferred by a university, college, or school in the Philippines or abroad recognized/accredited by the CHED and has obtained sufficient credits for the subjects covered in the examinations;  (3) has undergone a minimum of two hundred (200) hours of supervised practicum/internship/clinical experience under the auspices of a licensed psychologist or other licensed mental health professional;  (4) is of good moral character; and  (5) has not been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude.
