2. The Laser (1960)
A device that emits light through a
process of optical amplification based on
the stimulated emission of
electromagnetic radiation. The term
"laser" originated as an acronym for light
amplification by stimulated emission of
radiation

4. Cassette Tape (1962)
A magnetic tape recording format for
audio recording and playback
released by Philips in 1962. Compact
cassettes come in two forms, either

recordable "blank" cassette.

The very first American 911 call

1968 in Haleyville, Alabama
made by Alabama Speaker of

11. ARPANET (1969)
became the basis for the Internet. ARPANET
was developed under the direction of the U.S.
Advanced Research Projects Agency
(ARPA). In 1969, the idea became a modest
reality with the interconnection of four
university computers.
