3. Education James Gosling received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary. (1973 -1977) MS. from Carnegie Mellon University . (1977-1983) Ph.D . from Carnegie Mellon University . (1977-1983)

4. Career (1) Engineer at IBM (1983-1984). Gosling was with Sun Microsystems . (1984-2010) on different positions. He left Sun Microsystems which had recently been acquired by the Oracle Corporation. His last designation was Vice President at Sun Microsystems.

5. Career (2) On March 28, 2011, James Gosling announced on his blog that he had been hired by Google. Five months later, he announced that he joined a startup called Liquid Robotics.

6. Achievements Before joining Sun Microsystems he built a multi-processor version of Unix at Carnegie Mellon University. Games Gosling also developed several compilers and mail systems . James Gosling is Inventor of Java Programming Language.

7. Honors 2002: he was awarded The Economist Innovation Award . 2002 : he was awarded The Flame Award ,Lifetime Achievement Award . 2007: he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada . 2015 : awarded IEEE John von Neumann Medal.
