2. Tawi Riverfront Project is one of the most prestigious and flagship project being executed under the aegis of JSCL. The project has been conceived with twin objectives of: Flood mitigation/Flood protection for Jammu City. Creation of recreational spaces and Central Business district in its surroundings.

3. Construction of embankments with stepped retaining wall and diaphragm wall with channelized section 250m-300m wide and for a length of 2.7 km on both sides from 4 th bridge upto upstream of Bikram Chowk Bridge. In Phase 1 of the project embankments are being constructed for a length of 2.7 km on both sides of the river from Bhagwati Nagar barrage to Bikram bridge including central island. 4 No. Promenades being created. Lower Promenade -8m wide Intermediate Promenade (2 nos.) -5.75m wide Top Promenade- 6m wide Salient features of the Project
