what is JOURNALISM? J ournalism  is the production and distribution of reports on the interaction of events, facts, ideas,

ADVOCACY JOURNALISM Advocacy journalism is A genre of journalism that is fact- based . S upports a specific point of view on an issue. P racticed by alternative media and special interest publications and programs. In this type of journalism, the journalists can be openly biased about a particular person, or a group of people. Single-sided opinions are resented in this type of journalism. example: parents often advocate for their child's needs at school.

BROADCAST JOURNALISM Broadcast journalism is A type of news reporting presented to the public electronically or by radio, television instead of being published in newspapers.  Media in broadcast journalism include television, radio and the Internet . -ABS-CBN -GMA -NEWS 5

Investigative journalism Investigative journalism is A form of journalism in which reporters deeply in vestigate a single topic of interest , such as serious crimes, political corruption, or corporate wrongdoing . An investigative journalist may spend months or years researching and preparing a report. Investigative journalism is a primary source  of information.  Most investigative journalism is conducted by  newspapers, wire services, and freelance journalists.

TABLOID JOURNALISM Tabloid journalism  is A style of journalism that emphasizes  sensational crime stories,  gossip columns about celebrities and sports stars, junk food news and astrology . Associated with  tabloid-size newspapers . Tabloid journalism often concerns itself with rumors about the private lives of celebrities. 

YELLOW JOURNALISM Yellow journalism or the yellow press  is A type of journalism that does not report much real news with facts . It uses shocking headlines  that catch people's attention to sell more newspapers . Yellow press newspapers have several columns and front-page headlines about different types of news, such as sports and scandals . They use bold layouts (with large illustrations and perhaps color), and stories reported using unnamed sources. Example: ALIENS STEAL NEIGHBORHOOD PUPPIES"

Print Journalism It is mainly concerned with the practice of reporting news and related content through newspapers, magazines and periodicals. In earlier times, newspapers were the most powerful medium for those wanting to voice certain issues that are prevalent in society . In order to pursue a career in  Print Journalism , there are a wide range of profiles available with the most prominent ones being a correspondent reporter, columnist, copy editor and news editor and with the intervention of the internet. M any newspapers have their own digital platform , i.e. a website and an app where you can explore more opportunities like that of a Graphic Designer, Web Designer .

This form brought an array of perks to the domain of news media as it not only democratized the flow and distribution of information between diverse mediums such as newspapers, radio or TV but also minimized production costs along with adding new advancements in editing and recording techniques . Political journalism This journalism focuses on Government schemes, policies etc. It covers all the activities held on National, International and local levels. This journalism also report on the activities of elected officials, political processes and the results of political work. Political journalist reports all the political activities.
