1. PLANNING
❑Planningisthefirstprerequisiteformakingcontroleffective.
❑Controlcanbeexercisedonlywhenobjectivesaresetandplans
willbeeffectiveonlywhentheyareproperlyimplemented.
Controlcannotbeexercisedwithoutplanning.Planningmust
precedecontrol.Itisessentialtoplanfirstandthenexercise
controlforitsimplementation.

(c)Totakedisciplinaryactionagainstinefficientworkers.

❑Theperformanceofsubordinatesshouldreachthemanagerattheearliest.Thiswill
enablehimtotakerectifyingmeasures.
❑Thestepssuggestedforimprovingefficiencyshouldalsoreachsubordinatesatthe
earliestsothattheyareabletoactupontheadvice.
❑Thetimefactorisveryimportantinreporting.Ifthereportsofperformancearedelayed
