According to Dr. Robert Emmons , there are two stages in the feeling of gratitude; To show gratitude, one must recognize the good things received in life. 2. Gratitude is way of distinguishing goodness that come from others.
These stages in the feeling of gratitude help recognizing all the people who have done good things to you and have helped you to be who you are today.
