KING DAVID
Became king around 1000 BCE and
reigned Israel’s golden age.

Accomplishments
•He helped unify Israel by capturing
the city of Jerusalem and making it
his capital.
•Under his leadership a series of
successful military campaigns
secured Israel’s border against the
neighboring people.

David
•1. He was 30 years old when he became a
king.
•2. He reigned for 40 years.
•3. Son of Jesse
•4. Husband of Michal, Abigail, Bathsheba.
•5. Father of Absolom, Amnon and Solomon,
etc.
6. The eighth and youngest son

David and the Ark
•He brought the Ark of the
Covenant to Jerusalem. Later
this Ark was lost, but the
Bible says it will be found
again at the end of the world.

David was a shepherd
•He is trained to fight against predator and
ferocious animals .

Early Stage
•After God rejected the foolishness of
Saul, He sent Samuel to Bethlehem to
anoint David as successor.
But served in the court of Saul as

David and Goliath
