I ntroduction ☺ Kingdom : Animal   ☺ Class: Mammalia  ☺ Family : Phascolarctidae   ☺ Native : Australia   ☺ nickname: Native Bear ( joeys) ☺ Found in: Victoria and  South Australia

Physical Features ☺ Small furry ears ☺ Large black nose ☺ Little mouth ☺ weighs 4–15  kg ☺ Little black squinty eyes. ☺ Big nails on their hands and feet. ☺ koala is very small when it's just born.  ☺ Adult koala generally grows to 25 - 30 inches .

Lifespan ☺ They live for 20 or more years. . ☺ They breed in the summer.  ☺ They run as fast as a rabbit.  ☺ The koala is blind when it's born. ☺ The koala stays in the mother's pouch for 5 months.  ☺ Baby koala may weigh less than half a kg at birth.

Habitant and Climate ☺ They live in cold areas but not too cold. ☺ They like Australia because they have more forests. ☺ The koala only eats Eucalyptus leaves, it smells like the leaves.  ☺ The koala will eat 2.5 pounds of food a day. ☺ Koalas sleep for up to 20 hours a day in the eucalyptus trees.

Food and Prey ☺ They don’t have prey. ☺ They are herbivores. ☺ They also drink milk. ☺ Their predators are dingoes. ☺ The koala eats eucalyptus leaves.

Behavior ☺ Koalas do not live in families. ☺ The koala when it gets in its tree they stay there. ☺ The koala scratches its tree to remember the tree. ☺ When the koala dies they have to wait a year until it takes the tree. ☺ koala is smart and stays in their tree because they are slow on ground.
