A Family Friend

Dr. Marissa Tagle is our family doctor. Every six months, my mother and I visit her at her clinic for a checkup. Before the checkup, the nurse takes my weight, height, and temperature. To take my temperature she uses a thermometer. When she is done, Dr. Tagle then begins the checkup. First, Dr. Tagle listens to my heart with a stethoscope. Next, she asks me to take two deep breaths. Then, she listens to my lungs. Finally she checks my eyes, nose, ears, and throat.

At the end she often says, "You are a healthy girl, Jessica!” My mother and I are happy to hear that. Dr. Tagle is always ready to help us. When I am sick, my mother calls her so we can go to her clinic for a checkup. During those times, she brings out a medicine kit. She gives me medicine afterward. Also, she gives me some tips on how to get well soon and how to avoid getting sick. She always says that health is very important. Dr. Tagle is a special friend. She is a family friend.
