GOOD MORNING RESPECTED TEACHER AND MY DEAR FRIENDS

GUJARAT TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

PRESENTED BY : -> JAY SHAH -> STANLEY CHISTY -> RUTVIK SHAH GUIDED BY : -> Prof . Dhruv Joshi

Our topics for ALA presentation 1) First Law Of Thermodynamics 2) Second Law Of Thermodynamics 3) Zeroth Law

FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS -> The energy can neither be created nor can be destroyed but can be converted into one form from another . -> This law is also known as Law Of Conservation Of Energy .

EXAMPLES BASED ON THE FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS: -> Cycling

-> Melting of an ice

SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS -> The   second law of thermodynamics states that the total  entropy  of an  isolated system  always increases over time, or remains constant in ideal cases where the system is in a steady state or undergoing a  reversible process .

EXAMPLES BASED ON THE SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS -> Thermal energy flow from higher temperature to lower temperature .

ZEROTH LAW -> If body A and body B are in thermal equilibrium with body C , then body A and body B has to be in thermal equilibrium with each other .

EXAMPLES BASED ON ZEROTH LAW -> If the temperature of tea A and also the temperature of coffee C is in thermal equilibrium with the temperature of environment B, then the temperatures of tea A and coffee C are in thermal equilibrium.
