After seven years of dating, the couple exchanged vows in a fairy-tale wedding at Peckforton
Castle, Cheshire, on June 13, 2009.
Their union was celebrated in a setting that seemed to be straight out of a storybook,
surrounded by friends, family, and the glamour of the football world.
Together, Leanne and Wes welcomed three daughters into their lives: Halle, Lilia, and Lola.
The family resided in a sprawling mansion in Mobberley, Cheshire, a home designed by the
couple, nestled within 180 acres of picturesque land.
However, after more than two decades together and 12 years of marriage, the couple decided
to part ways.
This decision came before Wes faced financial challenges, culminating in a bankruptcy
declaration at the High Court, an event that followed their separation.
Wes Brown: Ex-Husband
Wes Brown, an English former professional footballer, was born on October 13, 1979 in
Longsight, Manchester, England. He is most well-known for his successful tenure at
Manchester United, where he spent the majority of his career.
Brown joined the club’s youth academy at the age of 12 and officially became a professional
player in 1996. He made his debut for the senior team in 1998 and was a key member of the
iconic 1998-99 squad that achieved the Treble.
During his time at Manchester United, he accumulated several accolades, including five
Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League victories.
In 2011, Brown left Manchester United and went on to play for Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers,
and Kerala Blasters before ultimately retiring in 2018. On an international level, he represented
England on 23 occasions and was selected for the 2002 World Cup.
Post-retirement, Brown faced financial difficulties and was declared bankrupt at the High
Court due to a six-figure debt to HM Revenue & Customs.
The cause of his bankruptcy was identified as poor investments in real estate and attempting
to match the extravagant lifestyle of his teammates, who had considerably higher earnings.
