COMPLETE COVERAGE MULTIBEAM
General guidance on grid resolution based on average depth (Office of Coast Survey, National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/NOAA)
The grid resolution for water depths greater than 320 shall be 5% of the water depth, not to
exceed 32 m resolution.
For singlebeam sonar as the primary sounding technique → Gridded at 4 m resolution, regardless
of depth.
