The one who
creates - CREATOR
FATHER
•In the creation story, God is referred to
as "God the Father" in the sense that He
is the creator and originator of all things.
•God's role as a father figure can be seen in
His relationship with humanity. This
highlights the special connection between
God and humanity. As a father cares for
and loves his children, God cares for and
loves His creation.
Powerful Word by
which everything is
created - WORD
•The concept of God as the Word is
derived from the Gospel of John, where
it states, "In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God" (John 1:1).
•This passage refers to Jesus Christ as the
Word, played a role in the creation of
the world.
SON
•The "Spirit of God" refers to the Holy
Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity.
The Hebrew word "ruah" can mean wind,
breath, or spirit, and it signifies the active
presence and power of God.
•The reference to God as wind or "ruah" in
the creation story highlights the active and
life-giving presence of the Holy Spirit in

In Creation Narrative, there is the Revelation of God
FATHER
SON
HOLY SPIRIT
God begins to manifest Himself in
the beginning as THREE PERSONS in
God.
•Then God said: Let US make man in our
image, after OUR likeness.
•The US and the OUR speak of many
persons;
•It manifests plurality;
•There is the mystery in God; He is ONE, yet
seems to be many.
God begins to manifest
Himself in the beginning as
THREE PERSONS in God.
•In the first verses of the Bible, God
reveals Himself as ONE. Thus, there
is no other God, except Him.
The Creation
“Ex Nihilo”
(Out of Nothing)
•God created
everything without
anything. Out of
nothing, God created
everything.
•This affirms that God
is the sole creator of
the universe, bringing
it into existence from
nothing.
The sense of responsibility
toward the created world.
•This first chapter of Book of Genesis is the basis of our
respect and carefor the earth.
•We are dealing with the principle of stewardship
where everything is entrusted to man as steward of all
creation.
•It is a gift and privilege, but also a great responsibility.
The Dignity of the Human Beings
•All human beings are created in the
image and likeness of God. IMAGO
DEI should be seen in each one of us.
God is Good.
God’s creations are good.
All His intentions toward us is good.
He has a purpose for us – for our good.
Seventh Day
•This gives importance to thelaw of
Sabbath. God commands us to honor
the seventh day to keep it holy.
•It invites us to prioritize our relationship
with Him and to find renewal and
refreshment in His presence.
