12. What is Netiquette? Is a network etiquette, the do’s and dont’s of online communication. Is a combination of the words network and etiquette and is defined as a set of rules for acceptable online behavior. Netiquette covers both common courtesy online and the informal “rules of the road” of cyberspace.

13. 10 Rules of Etiquette 1. The Golden Rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. In Cyberspace, we state this in an even more basic manner: Remember the human.

16. 4. Don’t Spam SPAM- it is any unsolicited e-mail from unknown sources. Spamming is the use of a messaging system to send an unsolicited message, especially advertising, as well as sending messages repeatedly on the same site.

17. 5. Don’t talk with people you don’t know. Do not arrange to meet anyone you meet online.

18. 6. Obey Copyright Laws Don’t steal someone else’s idea. Property and rights. Copyright law gives the copyright holder (often the author or publisher) the right to control certain uses of works protected by copyright. You must obey any terms that you agreed to to gain access to a copy of the work.

19. 7 . Use proper grammar and spelling. Error diminishes the credibility of the message. Good spelling, correct grammar, and the appropriate use of punctuation will give them more confidence in the person (or the company) communicating with them.
