VERB Verbs are words that express actions, occurrences, or states of being. They are an essential part of sentences and convey what's happening . 6

Action Verbs Examples: run, jump, think, decide Describe physical or mental actions . 8

Linking Verbs Examples: am, is, are, was, were, seem, become Connect the subject with a subject complement. (a noun or adjective that describes the subject). 10
