The Desktop You can personalize it with different backgrounds, colors, and Themes, and Pin your favorite apps to the taskbar. (To go the desktop, tap or click the desktop tile on the start screen, or press the shortcut key windows logo + D .) If the desktop tile isn't on the screen , you can pin it by following these steps: 1. On the Start Screen, Slide up from the middle of the screen to see the Apps view.(if you are using a mouse, click the arrow near the lower left corner of the screen.
Start Screen Start is where you can see and quickly get to your favorite apps, people, websites, folders, and other things that are important to you. 1.To get to Start, Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and tap start. 2. If you are using a mouse, the fastest way to get to start is to move your mouse pointer all the way into the lower left corner of the screen and click the start button.
Apps Application View The Apps View, where you can see all apps installed on you PC. In apps view, you can open apps, pin them to start, or pin them to the taskbar.
What is pinning? You can pin your favorite apps to the screen and the desktop taskbar so you can get to them directly and see updates on their tiles at a glance.
Pinning Apps . Step I- Slide up from the middle of the screen to get to the Apps View. Step II- Press and hold or right-click the app you want to pin. Step III- the apps will automatically appear in the screen or in the taskbar. Or shortcut to pinning Apps?
What is Unpinning apps? If you decide you don’t want a tile to be on your StartScreen any more, You can Unpin it from the START MENU. Unpinning App is different than uninstalling it– if you unpin an app from your task screen , the apps will still appear when you search for it, and its still in the apps view. How to unpinning Apps?
Organize your Start Screen Your Start Screen is yours to organize and arrange. You can resize tiles and move them around in whatever way you want. For examples: You can make the tiles you use more often bigger and the one you use less often smaller.
How to Organize your Screen? Step I- You can size and arrange your tiles in a way that looks best to you. Step II- You can also group tiles together to help you keep track of your apps and use them more efficiently.
To move a tile on your Start Screen. 1. On the Start Screen, Press and hold the tile you want to move.(if you’re using a mouse, click and hold the tile). Drag the Tile to where you want to place it.
To resize a tile on your Start screen. Step I- On the start screen , press and hold the tile you want to resize, (if you’re using a mouse, right click the tile). Step II- Tap or click Resize. Step III- Choose the size you want.
To Create a group of tiles Step I- On the start screen , press and hold or right-click the tile you want to group together.(if you’re using a mouse, right click the tile). Step II- Drag them to an open space Step III- If you want to name a group, tap or click where it says Name group above.
