5. Things around us move. Some things move fast and some things move slow. Just like things around as, music also move fast and slow.

6. Sounds may be fast or slow. Songs have to be sung slowly or quickly depending on their meaning . The fastness or slowness of sounds is called tempo .

7. Imagine tapping your toe or head banging to your favorite piece of music. You will be moving to the tempo, which will be slow, medium or fast. In music, a tempo is given to the performer to let them know what speed to play.
