Real name: Charles Lutwidge Dodgson
Date of birth: January 27th, 1832, in
Daresbury, Cheshire, England.
He was the third of eleven children in
an Anglican family.
He died of pneumonia followed by
influenza on January 14th, 1898.

He attended to Rugby School (from 1846 to 1849)
He applied to the University of Oxford and went to
residence in 1851. He was a member of the Christ
Church college.
Excelled in mathematics, earning a scholarship to
teach at Oxford, where he spent most of his life.
Personal and Professional Life
Besides being an academic, Carroll was a deacon in
the Anglican church, a photographer, and an author.
He was known to have a stammer, which affected
his social interactions.
