2. About Senior library: APS, KK Rd has two libraries, the junior and the Senior. Junior for Primary classes ( I to V) Senior library for classes (VI TO XII) * Uses e- granthalaya LMS with barcoding system. * Semi Automated Circulation system use of card and LMS * Services offered:Circulation , Reference, Digital Library,Internet facility,Question bank facility,Library orientation.

4. Collections(Books) *Purchased Books: 10998 *Donated Books: 4758 *Gifted Books: 737 *Gifted Fiction Books: 160 16653

Collections(Magazines and Newspapers) *Magazines- currently 15 are Subscribed *Newspapers- 5 Nos:The Hindu, The Times of India,Deccan Herald,The New Indian Express and Rajasthan Patrika *NIE – Student edition newspapers are subscribed VI & VII – THE HINDU IN SCHOOL VIII & IX – THE TIMES OF INDIA(NIE) X TO XII- MASTER MIND(DH)

6. Cirulation System * 2 Card system followed: i ) Borrower’s Ticket ii) Book card *Loan Period: Students- 1 Book for 1 Week and 1 renewal permitted. Teachers- i )Text Books till end of Academic year ii)Fiction & Non-Fiction Books 4 Books per week *Over Due Charges: Students-Rs 1 per day will be levied after the due date.

7. Digital Library(Johan Brown Publishers) *e-contents(e- books,animated videos,JB Dictionary,ppt’s ) of 80000 are available from the publishers of Johan Brown. *Currently in use for students with 1 server and 27 thin clients( 3 thin clients not I working) at senior library. DL is operational with 10 working thin clients at junior Library.

8. Library Activities *Book Fair -Conducted during the PTM’s in tie-up with M/s Scholastic and other book publishing/distributors.

9. Library Activities *Poster making- Students with interest in drawing are engaged to design posters for library

10. *Librarian’s Day Celebration: The National Librarians Day is observed on 12 th  of August every year to honor the birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr S. R. Ranganathan,who is considered as father of library science in India.Dedicated his entire life to library profession.NLD was celebrated @ APS and students read articles about Dr.SRR in Assembly Library Activities
