Seerah Session 13

They avowed their faith in Muhammad as a Prophet and swore: "We will not worship any one but one Allah; we will not steal; neither will we commit adultery, nor kill our children; we will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood we will not disobey you in any just matter REVIVE YOUR FAITH ON THE ROAD TO MADINAH( Aqbah Pledge #1)

The Prophet then preached the Faith, and the pledge was taken. To listen and obey in all sets of circumstances. To spend in plenty as well as in scarcity. To enjoin good and forbid evil. In Allâh’s service, you will fear the censure of none. To defend me in case I seek your help, and debar me from anything you debar yourself, your spouses and children from. And if you observe those precepts, Paradise is in store for you.   REVIVE YOUR FAITH ON THE ROAD TO MADINAH( Aqbah Pledge #2)

After staying three days in the cave they started their journey to Madinah on camels The Prophet, Abu Bakr and ‘Amir bin Fuhairah departed, and their guide ‘Abdullah bin Uraiquit .. The little caravan travelled through many villages on their way to  Madinah .

Some interesting and important incidents along the way

Whoever asked Abu Bakr [R] about the identity of his honourable companion, he would reply that he was a man who guided him on his way. Suraqah bin Malik found them on his way to earn reward on Prophet s head but Allah showed him signs and he became a believer.

Entering Madinah

As soon as the news of Muhammad’s arrival began to spread, crowds came flocking out of Madinah . They would come every morning and wait eagerly for his appearance until forced by the unbearable heat of the midday sun to return.

On Monday, 8th Rabi‘ Al- Awwal , the fourteenth year of Prophethood , i.e. September 23rd. 622, the Messenger of Allâh arrived at Quba ’. MASJID-E-QUBA is The first Mosque built after Islam.

Upon hearing the joyful news of his arrival, Muslims immediately rushed to receive him. The girls of Madinah used to chant beautiful verses of welcome rich in all meanings of obedience and dutifulness to the new Messenger. Yusuf Islam - Tala Al Badru Alayna (+ Lyrics) https://youtu.be/z5HiXM9JGJQ

Aims and objectives of Imigration To escape from the oppression by the hands of Makkans . To erect the pillars of a new society in a secure place.

Prophet had to deal with three categories of people in Madinah His companions, the noble and Allah-fearing elite. The Madinese tribes who were polytheists that did not yet believe. The Jews. Life in Madinah

A New Society being built The first task to which the Prophet(Allah bless him and give him peace) attended on his arrival in Madinah was the construction of a Mosque,

STATUS OF MOSQUE IN SOCIETY The Mosque was not merely a place to perform prayers, but rather an Islamic league where the Muslim’s were instructed in Islam and its doctrines. It served as an assembly place where the conflicting pre-Islamic trends used to come to terms; it was the headquarter wherein all the affairs of the Muslims were administered, and consultative and executive councils held.

BROTHERHOOD One important task was of cementing the ties of mutual brotherhood amongst the Muslims of Madinah ,  Al- Ansar  (the Helpers) and  Al- Muhajirun  (the Emigrants). It was indeed unique in the history of the world.
