, B. Ed., 2 ND YEAR SESSION- (2020-2022) TOPIC- LIGHT PREPARED BY :

LIGHT Light is a form of energy . Light is needed to see the object around us.

CHARACTERSTIC OF LIGHT Light is a form of energy produced by luminous object. Light can travel through vaccum . Light can penetrate through transparent material but can not pass through opaque object. Light travel in a straight line .

Luminous object:- The object which emit own light are called luminous object. EXAMPLE - Sun ,Star ,Candle etc . NON-LUMINOUS OBJECT:- Those object which themselves but only reflect the light which falls on them are called non-luminous object . EXAMPLE- Chair, Fan, Pen, Book etc .

REFLECTION OF LIGHT The process which sending back the light rays which fall down the surface of an object is called reflection of light . Normal A B Incident i r Refrection ray ray O

Law of referection of light: There are two law of refelection :- First law of reflection- The incident ray ,the reflected ray and the normal all lie in a same plane . Second law of reflection- The angle of reflection is alwaysbequal to the angle of incident .

When the object is placed between focus and centre of curvature(Object between F and C) E D P ’ A B F C Object B’’ A’’ Concave mirror
