 Full Eye Hospital in 1997
 From 1 Doctor to 3
 From 5 staff to 25
 From 10 beds to 65
 From 1 OT to 3
 From 800 sq. ft. to 23400 sq. ft.
 From 1 Microscope to 3
 Phaco, Glucoma clinic, Medicine Shop, Spec
shop and more

LAICO Training at Madurai on
“Man Management Power Training”
We learned and implemented the Paid Services
with Free Services.
Paid Services are now giving us financial support
without affecting the number of patients.

 Get Hold of Wealthy Donors
 Identify the prospective donors
 Approach them at the Right time
 Convince them
 Recognize them to encourage others for
the same

Donation for Cataract Surgery
Approach Donors for Sponsoring Patients
Convince them to mark important days
Like Birthdays, Marriage anniversary,
Death Anniversary etc.
Publish their Names & Photos in News
Papers & Journals

Paper & Media
 Emphasize on positive publicity
 Concentrate on local media
 Advertise at concessional rates
 Regular advertisement with tips on eye care
gives good results.
 Publish photographs of events and sponsors
to attract people.

Identify Community Motivators:
Collect list of various NGO’s, Social Clubs, Religious
Organizations and such other bodies
Contact their office bearers
Send them regular communications
Invite them to your hospital to show your
performance.
Educate them for the cause
Once motivated, these motivators motivate others

Recognize them and invite them in all your

Install suggestion / complaint box
Check them regularly
Sometimes you get good constructive suggestions
for improvement
Feed Back Forms can be used
Interact with patients
Request donors/sponsors to have direct
communication with patients after surgery.
Club members should also visit hospital regularly
and interact with patients

Don’t miss any opportunity to invite dignitaries or
celebrities to your hospital
Escort them, welcome them, show and apprise
them of your services
These people always love social service activities
They will certainly quote your hospital in future
This helps you to gain media attention and builds
an image to attract people.

Emphasize on mass publicity
Print calendars, highlighting your activities, fix
them at public/govt. offices
Pamphlets/posters are also helpful
Distribute them at regular intervals
Take advantage of electronic media and host
web site.

Symposiums & Seminars:
Organize seminars for doctors
Such seminars help in building an image of our
hospital in doctors’ fraternity
Such seminars are normally sponsored by
medical companies/suppliers.

Regular communication with donors & well
wishers:
Send performance reports in booklet forms
Send greeting cards etc.
Send SMSes
Do call them (courtesy calls)
This helps in keeping the connections alive.
