LIVER TRAUMA SUSPECT Injury to right upper abdomen. Fracture of 9 th – 11 th ribs on the right side. Bruising over right chest wall (lower).
INTRODUCTION Liver is the most common organ injured in blunt trauma to abdomen next to spleen. M/c site: Posterior portion of right lobe. It is the most commonly injured organ in penetrating trauma next to bowel. The trauma is assessed by performing a focus assessment sonogram in trauma (FAST) scan.
