What is a food
chain?
A food chain explains
which organism eats
another organism in the
environment. We realize
how one organism is
dependent upon
another organism for
survival.

PRODUCERS
are capable organisms of
making their food from
non-living resources, such as
sun and water.

CONSUMERS
ingest other organisms to
obtain the energy and
nutrients to survive.
