About KNARDA-KSADP The Kano state Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) was instituted to fill the identified gap that affects agricultural production and productivity through extension services delivery KNARDA-KSADP Legumes crop intervention program aims at enhancing agricultural production and productivity of legume crops production namely; groundnut, cowpea and soybean through improving extension services delivery, capacity building, increased access to inputs, agro processing, value addition and access to credit facilities. The intervention program primarily focuses on supporting legumes crop production and working in synergy with other relevant stakeholders such as IITA, ICRISAT and SAA . 2

The intervention is designed to reach-out to 100,000 beneficiaries across the 44 LGAs of Kano state within the Project lifespan Specific Objectives 3

Income generation 75 women farmer groups were empowered N13.5m is earned annually by 75 empowered groups. Agribusiness and market linkages 6 5 211 seed producers were linked with seed companies. 660mt , 39mt and 49.5mt of groundnut, cowpea and soybeans were up-taken. 187 Lead farmers were linked with financial institutions and aggregators. 418mt, 75.1mt and 211.8mt of groundnut, cowpea and soybeans were up-taken.
