12. New Minimum Sync Interval for External Identities The minimum synchronization interval for AuthPoint external identities is now one hour. The synchronization interval determines how often AuthPoint syncs users and groups from your LDAP or Entra ID database. This change removes the previous 15 minute and 30 minute synchronization interval options. Release date: 5 September 2024

13. New Minimum Sync Interval for External Identities Existing external identities that have the synchronization interval set to 15 minutes or 30 minutes will be automatically updated to sync every one hour Release date: 5 September 2024

15. AuthPoint Agent for macOS v2.0 The AuthPoint agent for macOS v2.0 is now publicly available. The new agent for macOS v2.0 has been redesigned with a new, improved look and feel. The agent now supports fingerprint authentication (users can authenticate with fingerprint in place of a password). Combined with AuthPoint MFA, this makes the login process for protected machines easier and more secure. The updated agent also includes bug fixes and improvements. Release date: 15 August 2024

18. Password Vault in AuthPoint Password Manager The AuthPoint operator can now delete or provision the password vault for a user. You might do this if the user no longer uses the AuthPoint password manager and wants to ensure their personal information is safe. Release date: 4 July 2024

20. WatchGuard Cloud Directory WatchGuard Cloud is centralizing user and group management in Directories and Domain Services (previously called Authentication Domains). You can now add users and groups to a new authentication domain called the WatchGuard Cloud Directory. Products in WatchGuard Cloud, such as AuthPoint, can use the users and groups that you add to the WatchGuard Cloud Directory. Release date: 27 June 2024

21. WatchGuard Cloud Directory As part of this process, all existing local AuthPoint users and groups have been migrated to Directories and Domain Services in WatchGuard Cloud. To manually add new users and groups to AuthPoint, or to make edits to existing users and groups, you must add the new WatchGuard Cloud Directory. Your existing local users and groups still exist in AuthPoint, and you can see them on the Users and Groups pages. External users synced to AuthPoint from Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), or other LDAP databases are not affected by this migration. Release date: 27 June 2024

22. WatchGuard Cloud Directory Users and groups that you add to the WatchGuard Cloud Directory are automatically added to AuthPoint as well. User management actions (such as enabling forgot token mode, blocking and unblocking users or tokens, or resending the set password and token activation email) are done from the Users page in the AuthPoint management UI. 23. WatchGuard Cloud Directory To add the WatchGuard Cloud Directory: Log in to WatchGuard Cloud. Select Configure > Directories and Domain Services . Click Add Authentication Domain . Release date: 27 June 2024

24. WatchGuard Cloud Directory Select WatchGuard Cloud Directory . Click Next . Confirm that you want to add the WatchGuard Cloud Directory. After you create the WatchGuard Cloud Directory, it can take a few minutes before you see your existing users and groups. Release date: 27 June 2024

26. WatchGuard Cloud Directory We have also added a new type of AuthPoint user account: non-MFA users. When you add users to the WatchGuard Cloud Directory server in Directories and Domain Services, you choose whether the user is an MFA user or a non-MFA user. Release date: 27 June 2024

27. WatchGuard Cloud Directory MFA Users These are user accounts that will use AuthPoint multi-factor authentication to authenticate. This is not related to the AuthPoint Multi-Factor Authentication license type. Release date: 27 June 2024

28. WatchGuard Cloud Directory Non-MFA Users These are users that will only ever authenticate with a password, such as a service account user. Non-MFA users do not consume an AuthPoint user license and cannot authenticate to resources that require MFA. Non-MFA users can only authenticate to protected resources if the non-MFA user account has a password only authentication policy for that resource. Release date: 27 June 2024

31. AuthPoint Agent for Windows v3.2.0 The AuthPoint Logon app (agent for Windows) has been updated to version 3 .2.0. Authentication policies with network location and geofence objects now correctly apply to remote desktop logins to computers with the Authpoint agent for Windows installed. Active Directory users can now successfully authenticate from allowed IP addresses that are set in network location policy objects. Release date: 23 May 2024

35. Firebox Resources To configure a Firebox resource and use AuthPoint as an authentication server on the Firebox, your Firebox must run Fireware v12.7.2 or higher. If you have already configured a Firebox resource and your Firebox runs Fireware v12.7.1 or lower, you must upgrade to Fireware v12.7.2 or higher. If you have already configured a Firebox resource and your Firebox runs Fireware v12.7.2 or higher, no action is necessary. Release date : 25 April 2024

36. OTP Authentication for MSCHAPv2 For RADIUS client resources that have MS-CHAPv2 enabled, AuthPoint no longer supports authentication policies that require both password and OTP authentication. To configure OTP authentication for local users, your authentication policy must have only the OTP authentication option selected. Release date : 25 April 2024

37. Protection for AuthPoint Passwords When local AuthPoint users set or change their password, AuthPoint now verifies that the password has not been exposed in a data breach. Passwords that have been exposed cannot be used. Release date: 4 April 2024

When you log in to your password vault, the password manager now creates a session and remembers you for five minutes. While your session is active, you are not prompted to authenticate with your PIN or biometrics when you use the password manager. 79. AuthPoint Mobile App v2.1.0 When you deny an AuthPoint push notification, you can now choose to disable push notifications temporarily. You might do this to protect yourself from phishing attacks when you receive many spam push notifications. Attackers send spam push notifications to get users to mistakenly approve an MFA authentication request. Release date: 11 May 2023

80. AuthPoint Mobile App v2.1.0 When you disable push notifications: Push notifications are disabled on the device until you choose to enable them again. If you select the push authentication method when you log in with MFA, the device where you disabled push notifications does not receive a push notification. This also includes push notifications for the User Verification feature. If you have multiple devices that you use for authentication, your other devices continue to receive push notifications.
