Love marriage Love Marriage is a marriage which is the sole decision of the couple. Past & Present Condition- In Europe Marriage for love and personal reasons began to appear in 14 th century.(S. Coontz ) Victoria age love marriages become more acceptable in British community. (Queen Victoria and Prince Albert marriage) In Sub-continent It break caste, community and religion, so arranged marriages are preferred. Becoming popular among younger generations in 1970s. Honor killing ,it has documented 326 cases in India and 869 in Pakistan.
