LUMADS

"Manobo" is the hispanicized form of " Manuvu ," which, of course, means "people." The Manobo appear to be a remnant of the very first Austronesian invasion from Taiwan, predating peoples like the Ifugao of Luzon. The Manobo supergroup includes several of the groups described elsewhere (see  Bagobo ,  Hiligaynon ,  Bukidnon ), but there are also many Manobo peoples not considered apart from the main group. The general orientation is now predominantly upland, as they were chased from the valleys by invading Visayans and Spaniards.

Subanon tribe PIP: The Subanen people are known as the  aborigines of the Island of Mindanao , and are found mostly in the northern, western and southern portions of the Zamboanga peninsula. They were originally found along the river banks or " suba " but now reside in the mountains. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12338244/#:~:text=PIP%3A%20The%20Subanen%20people%20are,now%20reside%20in%20the%20mountains.

The Blaan are neighbors of the  T'boli , and live in  Lake Sebu  and T'boli municipalities of  South Cotabato ,  Sarangani ,  General Santos City , the southeastern part of  Davao  and around  Lake Buluan  in  North Cotabato . They are famous for their brassworks , beadwork, and tabih weave. The people of these tribes wear colorful embroidered native costumes and beadwork accessories. The women of these tribes, particularly, wear heavy brass belts with brass "tassels" ending in tiny brass bells that herald their approach even when they are a long way off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaan_people

T’BOLI -In the mountain of Cotabato lives a colorful ethnic group known as Tboli . This group has many names including Tagabili and T’Boli . The T’Bolis occupy an area of about 750 square miles where the Southern ends of the Southwest Coast Range and the Cordillera, also known as the Tiruray Highlands, merge. The culture center falls more or less in the central part of a triangle whose points are the towns of   Surallah , Polomolok and Kiamba . Within this triangle are three major lakes: Lake Sebu , Lake Lahit and Lake Selutan . https://ncca.gov.ph/about-ncca-3/subcommissions/subcommission-on-cultural-communities-and-traditional-arts-sccta/central-cultural-communities/the-tboli/
